As part of Mobile UK’s campaign for Digital Champions for local authorities we are hosting, in partnership with the LGA, a webinar discussing these crucial roles and outlining how they help coordinate and prioritise digital connectivity. Digital Champions will support mobile infrastructure deployment at a local level, ultimately assisting with the Government’s ambitions to address digital exclusion and as part of its Levelling Up agenda.

During the event we will be joined by representatives from the LGA, Cluttons, the City of Wolverhampton Council, Essex County Council, and West Midlands 5G (WM5G). The event will include a panel discussion with some of the Digital Champions already in place and help others to understand the significant impact of this role and how to set one up.

Mobile UK will also outline how it is calling on the UK Government to fund Digital Champions for all local authorities and the minimum attributes needed for such a role.
