Rural Mobile Coverage: House of Commons Research Briefing

The House of Commons Library has published a research briefing which looks at mobile coverage in the UK with a focus on rural 4G mobile coverage. It covers Government commitments on mobile coverage and measures to improve coverage such as the Shared Rural Network.

The Shared Rural Network is a £1 billion joint iniative between the UK Government and the four main mobile network operators, EE, Three, Virgin Media O2 and Vodafone, to extend 4G mobile coverage to 95% of the UK's landmass.
