Mobile UK welcomes Welsh Government's drive to create a Mobile Action Plan for Wales

Head of Policy and Communications Gareth Elliott comments on the statement made by the Welsh Minister for Skills and Science announcing her intention to publish a mobile action plan for Wales.

“Mobile operators are working hard to extend and improve mobile coverage across Wales but in order to do so it is important that the planning and regulatory regime is fit for purpose.

“We welcome the statement made by the Minister for Skills and Science, Julie James AM, following a recent roundtable with Mobile UK that in collaboration with the industry she intends to publish a mobile action plan for Wales alongside a roadmap to achieve it.

“The mobile industry stands ready to provide further information and evidence to assist the process and we look forward to working with the Minister.”
