Mobile UK welcomes the Rt Hon Michelle Donelan MP into her new role as Secretary of State for the Department for Culture, Media, and Sport. With mobile connectivity firmly considered part of our critical national infrastructure we look to the new Secretary of State to further build on the Government’s momentum and to work closely with the industry to expand and enhance mobile connectivity.

Specifically, we call on the Secretary of State to complete reforms already underway to Electronic Communications Code and to consider investment in Digital Champions for local authorities. We are also committed to engaging in the review of the Wireless Infrastructure Strategy to ensure that the UK continues to be an attractive place for investment so that it develops world class mobile connectivity.
