Mobile UK submits evidence in response to the DCMS and Home Office online harms White Paper

Hamish MacLeod, Director at Mobile UK

Commenting on Mobile UK’s submission to the DCMS and Home Office joint White Paper on online harms, Hamish MacLeod, Director at Mobile UK, said:

“Mobile companies believe strongly in child protection and invest in their networks to make them safe. The industry has developed robust procedures underpinned by voluntary agreements established with the BBFC.

“The industry welcomes the Government’s White Paper and its aim to consider the wider value chain to keep customers safe. However, it is important that further clarification is provided and that measures already in place are not adversely impacted.”
