Mobile UK welcomes today’s speech by the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Wales, which acknowledges the importance of good mobile connectivity for local and rural economies.

Mobile UK and the mobile network operators have been actively working closely with the Welsh Government and are encouraged by their shared ambition to improve the standard of mobile infrastructure and remove barriers to enable effective deployment in Wales.

We look forward to the publication of the Welsh Government’s Mobile Action Plan, which we hope will offer practical and constructive actions to assist mobile operators in Wales. Mobile UK will continue to support the Welsh Government to find solutions to ensure Wales gets the mobile infrastructure it requires and the people of Wales experience good mobile connectivity.
