Mobile UK outlines the benefits of an industry-supported Shared Rural Network in its submission to EFRA’s rural broadband inquiry

Hamish MacLeod, Director at Mobile UK, commenting on Mobile UK’s submission to the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Select Committee’s inquiry into rural broadband and digital-only services said:

“In an unprecedented move, the mobile industry has come together to propose a Shared Rural Network, which will significantly enhance mobile coverage in rural areas. I welcome the opportunity to provide evidence to the Committee and to work with members to build support for this initiative which not only has the support of all four operators but goes beyond current proposals as put forward by Ofcom.”
