Following the launch of our Building Mobile Britain: The Case for Local Authority Digital Champions report we are coming together with the Local Government Association (LGA) to jointly host an online webinar on 13th July 2022 to showcase local authority digital champions and to discuss how this important role can be further embedded into councils across the country.

Since release of the report, the call for digital champions at the local level has been widely supported and endorsed by national bodies and local councils as an important step to improve mobile deployment at a local level while also furthering the levelling up agenda by extending coverage and connectivity.

As a continuation of this campaign, we have partnered with the national local government body, the Local Government Association (LGA) for the webinar discussion event. This event will feature speakers from Mobile UK, the LGA, Cluttons (who comissioned key research into this area), and four digital champions from local authorioties that have benefited from this important role.

This event will explore these topics further, featuring a panel debate between four local councils around the critical need for local authority Digital Champions and how and why these will support the UK Government’s levelling up agenda.
