Join The Conversation: Mobile UK Speaking At Connected Britain and DigiGov Expo 2025 In September

This month Gareth Elliott, our Director of Policy and Communications, will be representing Mobile UK at two of the country’s most influential digital infrastructure events: Connected Britain and DigiGov Expo 2025.

Both held at Excel London on the 25th September, these events bring together thousands of policymakers, industry leaders, and technology innovators to shape the future of the UK’s digital economy and public sector transformation.

Driving the future of mobile at Connected Britain

Gareth will take the stage as moderator at Connected Britain, the UK’s leading digital economy event, to discuss the next chapter for mobile connectivity. Taking place at 11:40AM, this session will explore the evolving priorities for mobile network deployment, the policy landscape, and how collaboration between industry and government can unlock the full potential of mobile infrastructure.

Gareth will be joined by a distinguished panel of speakers including:

  • Brian Potterill, Policy Director, Ofcom
  • Ian Newbury, Head of Product, CityFibre
  • Mark Henry, Director of Networks and Spectrum Strategy, BT

With over 8,000 attendees expected, Connected Britain is a key platform for advancing conversations around 5G rollout, rural connectivity, and the strategic importance of mobile networks in driving economic growth and innovation across the UK.

Shaping public sector innovation at DigiGov Expo

Later that day, Gareth will also participate in DigiGov Expo 2025, the UK’s premier public sector technology showcase. This event convenes over 3,000 digital leaders and public sector professionals to explore cutting-edge solutions in government ICT, GovTech, and citizen experience.

Gareth’s contribution as panellist during the ‘Bridging the Digital Divide: Building an accessible and inclusive digital future’ session will focus on the intersection of mobile infrastructure and digital public services, highlighting how robust connectivity can empower smarter, more inclusive government services. His insights will help frame the conversation around digital inclusion, data-driven service delivery, and the role of mobile in modernising public sector operations.

During this session Gareth will be joined by:

  • Amy Low – Chief Executive, AbilityNet
  • Richard Morton – Head of Accessibility, Government Digital Service (GDS)

As we continue to advocate for policies that support infrastructure investment and innovation, the industry is proud to contribute to these vital national conversations. Join us at ExceL London on 25th September to be part of the movement shaping the future of digital Britain.
