GSMA - Questions about 5G? How does it work and what are the guidelines that ensure it is safe?

Have questions or would like to know more about 5G and the guidelines that ensure it is safe? The GSMA, the global body for mobile operators, has produced  a short video that outlines how 5G will transform our lives for the better, changing the way we interact with the world.

The video also explains how safety concerns are addressed through international safety guidelines that protect consumers by setting limits on exposure to electromagnetic fields, keeping us all connected and protected. In 2020 the international safety guidelines were updated by the International Council for Non-Ionising Radiation Protection (ICNIRP), and the health risk assessment remains unchanged that there are no established health risks found for people using a mobile device, with exposure levels, including 5G, below the guideline levels. Public health officials and experts also support this view and mobile operators ensure that EMF levels from their networks are within the limits set out in the ICNIRP Guidelines.
