CCN Annual Conference – Shared Rural Network offers a significant step forward in mobile coverage
At the County Council Network’s Annual Conference Hamish MacLeod, Director at Mobile UK outlined to delegates the significant opportunities provided by the industry’s Shared Rural Network proposal.
Mobile UK is a proud sponsor of the CCN’s annual conference and returned in 2019 with an update, which focused on the Shared Rural Network which was recently announced by the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.
Speaking to delegates, Hamish MacLeod, Director at Mobile UK, said:
“County councils will be vital partners in the deployment of the Shared Rural Network, and I am delighted that at this year’s annual conference, mobile connectivity was a central theme. The Shared Rural Network marks a step-change in rural coverage taking 4G to 95% of the UK’s landmass. Mobile UK looks forward to working with CCN members to bring about the Shared Rural Network.”
