Mobile UK Welcomes Updated Guidance From the NCSC Ensuring Best Practice To Build Effectiveness And Trust When Using SMS and Telephone Messaging

The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) has updated its guidance designed to ensure that organisation's SMS and telephone messages are effective and trustworthy.

The guidance has been created to share best practices and to help companies protect their customers from fraud by ensuring that legitimate SMS and telephone messages sent out are consistent, trustworthy, and reach target audiences without being blocked or deleted as suspicious.

The implementation of this guidance will also make it harder for criminals to exploit telecoms channels. By minimising the complexity of any given service it will help authorities to be more focused and efficienti in detecting and preventing fraud across telecoms networks.

The guidance published by the NCSC can be found in full here. A pdf version can also be found here.
